The Upper Aquetong Valley Historic District is along one of the most scenic roads in Solebury Township. The upper branch of the Aquetong Creek flows through the area along Meetinghouse Road between Aquetong and Sugan roads. The area was originally settled in the 18th and 19th centuries by Quakers from England. There are 12 farms in the district, and parts overlap with the Honey Hollow Watershed, itself a National Historic Landmark. The farmhouses were built in the Federal Style with Georgian influences. There are 55 buildings in the district, including the farmhouses and the Solebury Friends Meetinghouse. The district received national recognition in 1987.
